Qualifications

• 2 Year/Associate Degree required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of MT experience preferred.
• Florida Technologist License required or ability to obtain during interview.
• Licenses in one or more clinical specialties (Generalist highly preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely laboratory testing per instructions within turnaround times.
• Occasionally assume department responsibility in the supervisor's absence.
• Complete required records and documentation for patient results.
• Perform stat procedures within established targets.
• Use good judgment in interpretation of patient results and delta checks.
• Review logs and resolve workload with staff coverage.
• Perform quality control procedures and handle all specimens/test results.

Bachelor's in Medical Technology

1 year Medical Technologist experience

Florida Technologist License

Generalist (Blood Bank/Serology/Chemistry/Hematology/Microbiology)
