Job summary

A Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field, 5 years of experience, and ASCP certification are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field, or 12-month internship from an accredited training program preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Must be ASCP certified or equivalent certification.
• 5 years medical technology experience

Responsibilities

• Receives or collects specimens and performs applicable tests to attain accurate results.
• Maintains equipment and records to control quality of test results.
• Maintains reagents and test supplies to ensure timely results.
• Assists in review and implementation of new test systems.
• Participates in the introduction and evaluation of new procedures and instruments.
• Responds to emergency situations.
