Job summary

Labcorp in Silverton, OR is seeking a Medical Lab Technologist to join our team for a 24-hour-per-week schedule with early morning shifts and rotating weekends. The role involves determining specimen acceptability, performing routine and complex procedures, maintaining instrumentation, preparing reagents, and reporting results to support patient care.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Life Science or MT ASCP/AMT certification; strong attention to detail, teamwork, and excellent

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science or equivalent.
ASCP or AMT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
Perform routine and complex technical procedures according to SOPs.
Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation.
Demonstrate ability to make technical tests and decisions.
Prepare, test and evaluate reagents or controls.
Report accurate test results to support patient care.
Perform preventive maintenance and quality control.
Identify and replenish testing bench supplies.
Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
Maintain a safe work environment and PPE.
