Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Sr. Technologist at Mount Hood Hospital in Gresham, OR. The role centers on quality systems, regulatory compliance, QA activities, and supporting daily laboratory operations.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a chemical or biological science, 4+ years of clinical lab testing experience, and ASCP or AMT certification. Evening shift schedule applies (Mon-Fri with rotating weekends).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
• 4+ years of clinical laboratory testing experience.
• ASCP or AMT certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality systems activities and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Accept or reject specimens per criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures per SOP.
• Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation.
• Mentor laboratory staff and provide technical guidance.
• Support quality initiatives, QA/QC, proficiency testing, and continuous improvement.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation.
• Review quality indicators and identify process improvements.
• Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate test results to support patient care.
• Perform preventative maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Assist with validations and implementation of new procedures.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies.
• Maintain a safe work environment.
