Job summary

North Bend Medical Center in Coos Bay, Oregon seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Laboratory Technician, Generalist, to perform a full range of laboratory tests in chemistry, hematology, serology, molecular biology, and urinalysis. The role supports diagnosis and treatment with emphasis on accuracy and timely reporting.

The ideal candidate will hold a NAACLS-accredited MLS/Medical Technology degree and national certification (ASCP/AMT) with CLIA/CAP familiarity, and can work in a

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in MLS/Medical Technology from NAACLS-accredited program.
Current ASCP or AMT MLS/MLT certification required.
Meets CLIA-88 and CAP/Joint Commission requirements as applicable.

Responsibilities

Perform and report laboratory tests per policies and quality standards.
Monitor quality controls and perform instrument maintenance.
Audit specimen integrity and ensure proper identification for testing.
Troubleshoot equipment and report any issues.
Maintain organized work area and comply with safety procedures.
