Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is seeking a Lead Medical Technologist to oversee daily operations in the Clinical Laboratory, including scheduling, quality control, QA activities, and instrument management.

You will ensure timely result reporting and manage LIS workflows during routine and downtime scenarios. The role demands a strong background in Medical Technology, MT certification, and 2 years of related hospital laboratory experience.

Qualifications

• Requires a baccalaureate degree in a biological science and completion of a NAACLS-accredited Medical Technology program, plus MT certification.
• 2 years of related technical experience in a hospital lab environment as a generalist or with specialized experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and document quality control for procedures to meet internal and regulatory guidelines.
• Manage instrument troubleshooting and maintenance coordination; oversee QA activities and proficiency testing.
• Ensure timely reporting of results and proper handling of critical values in the LIS.
• Supervise scheduling, workflow, and staff in the Clinical Laboratory.
