Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency, LLC seeks a Medical Technologist II to perform independent clinical laboratory testing across General Lab and Blood Bank, ensuring accuracy and quality. The role includes training staff, resolving issues, and acting as supervisor in their absence.

Responsibilities cover hematology, urinalysis, coagulation, chemistry, blood bank, and microbiology, with emphasis on QC, safety, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Health Science, or related field.
• Certifications such as MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), or equivalent are required.
• Minimum of 3 years of laboratory experience.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including data entry, Word, Excel; Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze blood and body fluids for diagnostic tests following established protocols.
• Perform routine tests in hematology, urinalysis, coagulation, chemistry, blood bank, and microbiology.
• Maintain equipment, logs, quality control, and safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with team members and document all activities.
• Train new staff and participate in performance improvement projects.
• Conduct maintenance, reagent management, and ensure readiness for inspections.
• If assigned, perform blood bank duties, including handling blood products and STAT testing.
