Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Medical Technologist II to join our clinical laboratory team in Lawrenceville, GA. The role focuses on developing and monitoring test systems, performing tests and interpreting results for all age groups.

Candidates should hold a relevant degree and MT/MLS/CLS certification, with 1 year of clinical lab experience preferred and the ability to work 6am–2:30pm. Northside Hospital offers growth in a state-of-the-art environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree at minimum in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology.
• Associates Degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology with certification as MT/MLS/CLS.
• Graduate of a Military Program in Science with MT/MLS/CLS certification.
• Grandfathered MT with prior qualification and current MT/MLS/CLS certification.
• 1 year of clinical laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and monitors test systems and performs laboratory tests for patient care across age groups.
• Performs test interpretation and quality control to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.
• Ensures compliance with proper standards and regulations in laboratory procedures.
• Communicates test results clearly to clinicians and supports patient care decisions.

Responsibilities

The Medical Technologist II develops and monitors test systems and performs and interprets laboratory tests for the diagnosis and care of neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution and applicants must be eligible for an appropriate certification examination.
• Acceptable certifying agencies include: ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW)
• Associates Degree in laboratory science (Chemical or Biological Science) or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution and certification as a Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
• Acceptable certifying agencies include: ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW)
• Graduate of a Military Program in Science (health science, biology, chemical, physical, medical technology) and certification as a Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist
• Acceptable certifying agencies include ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW)
• Grandfathered Medical Technologist by having previously qualified as a technologist on or before February 28, 1992 and current certification as a Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist. 1.Acceptable certifying agencies include ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW
• One (1) year experience in a clinical laboratory
• Ability to implement and perform clinical laboratory procedures according to proper standards and regulations.
• Must submit to a Color-Acuity screening Test

6am-230pm
