Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. is seeking a Medical Technologist III to provide technical and regulatory oversight of one or more laboratory sections while performing the duties of a Medical Technologist II.

This role supports quality control, compliance with standards, and supervision of staff in a fast-paced clinical lab environment. Qualified candidates may present multiple pathways, including a bachelor’s degree with certification eligibility (ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS), or an accredited associate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution and applicants must be eligible for an appropriate certification examination.
• Associates Degree in laboratory science (Chemical or Biological Science) or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution and certification as a Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
• Graduate of a Military Program in Science (health science, biology, chemical, physical, medical technology) and certification as a Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
• Grandfathered Medical Technologist by having previously qualified as a technologist on or before February 28, 1992 and current certification as a Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
• One (1) year experience in a clinical laboratory
• Ability to implement and perform clinical laboratory procedures according to proper standards and regulations.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
