Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. in Lawrenceville, GA is seeking a Medical Technologist II to develop and monitor test systems while performing laboratory tests for various patient demographics. The ideal candidate will hold a relevant bachelor's degree and have at least one year of clinical laboratory experience.

We are looking for individuals who can implement laboratory procedures according to standards and must pass a Color-Acuity screening test. This role includes work hours from 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM with a rotating weekend schedule.

• One (1) year experience in a clinical laboratory.
• Ability to perform laboratory tests for patients across all ages.

Responsibilities

The Medical Technologist II develops and monitors test systems and performs and interprets laboratory tests for the diagnosis and care of neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution and applicants must be eligible for an appropriate certification examination.

Acceptable certifying agencies include: ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW)

OR

Associates Degree in laboratory science (Chemical or Biological Science) or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution and certification as a Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist.

Acceptable certifying agencies include: ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW)

OR

Graduate of a Military Program in Science (health science, biology, chemical, physical, medical technology) and certification as a Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Acceptable certifying agencies include ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW)

OR

One (1) year experience in a clinical laboratory

Ability to implement and perform clinical laboratory procedures according to proper standards and regulations.

Must submit to a Color-Acuity screening Test

Work Hours:

1pm to 1130pm (Every 3rd weekend rotation )
