Job summary

Moberly Regional Medical Center is seeking a Medical Technologist I to perform routine and specialized moderate and high complexity laboratory tests on blood and body fluid specimens under minimal supervision.

You will ensure accurate results by adhering to quality control protocols, maintaining laboratory instruments, and assisting in data collection for regulatory compliance. The role may include teaching new staff and performing phlebotomy duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field.
• Passing score on Clinical Laboratory Technology Proficiency exam.
• 0–2 years of acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderate and high complexity laboratory tests accurately and efficiently with timely reporting and proper documentation.
• Maintains quality control procedures and performs checks, analyzes data, troubleshoots out-of-range results, and takes corrective action.
• Performs instrument function checks and preventative maintenance as required.
• Troubleshoots instrument malfunctions and coordinates with appropriate personnel or manufacturers.
• Ensures compliance with safety regulations and Laboratory Safety Plan.
