Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science from an accredited institution is required or equivalent.
• Documented training acceptable for certification eligibility.
• ASCP or equivalent certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Performs and completes tests according to manuals within established turnaround times.
• Records and reports testing data according to guidelines.
• Performs quality assurance/control data and reports outliers.
• Executes proficiency testing as assigned.
• Observes safety policies in performing duties.
• Performs instrument troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance.
• Monitors reagent and supply inventories and reports re-order needs.
• Performs phlebotomy duties as needed.
• Trains students in the laboratory and supports additional duties as assigned.
