Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Medical Technologist to support laboratory testing, ensure QA procedures are followed, and uphold safety standards in a fast-paced clinical environment.

You will prepare reagents, manage supply inventory, and use clinical judgment to prioritize tasks while coordinating with the appropriate departments.

This role requires a Bachelor’s degree and MT/MLS or equivalent registry eligibility, with ASCP certification within one year of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in medical technology or related field.
• MT/MLS or equivalent registry eligible within one year of hire.
• ASCP certification preferred or eligible.

Responsabilités

• Adheres to QA guidelines for equipment and work area; documents corrective actions for non-conforming events.
• Prepares reagents and maintains adequate supplies; manages inventory to reduce waste.
• Uses clinical judgment to set priorities and troubleshoots test systems with departments.
• Ensures regulatory compliance per CAP, TJC, OSHA.
• Maintains clear shift-to-shift communication with leadership about issues affecting patient care.
• Participates in planning meetings and change initiatives.
• Participates in competency assessment program where qualified.
