Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a Laboratory professional for the Carolinas Medical Center - Lab in Huntersville, NC. The position requires a Bachelor's degree and MT/MLS registry eligibility with ASCP certification within one year of hire.

Full-time, 40 hours per week, with a 7:00-5:30 Monday–Friday schedule and varying shifts. The role involves performing lab analyses, ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance, and supporting department operations in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MT/MLS registry eligible within 1 year of hire.
• MT (ASCP) or MLS(ASCP) or equivalent required within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency and follows testing procedures and policies with QA adherence.
• Prepares reagents and maintains inventory to reduce waste/expense.
• Exercises clinical judgement to prioritize and troubleshoot test systems with appropriate escalation.
• Reviews and revises procedures to meet CAP, TJC, OSHA regulatory requirements.
• Maintains real-time shift communications with leadership and staff.
