Job summary

Carolinas Medical Center in Concord, NC is hiring a full-time laboratory technician to follow testing procedures, maintain quality assurance, prepare reagents, and manage inventory while supporting problem solving and service with the department.

Requires a Bachelor's degree and MT/MLS or equivalent registry eligibility, with MT (ASCP) or MLS(ASCP) eligibility within one year. Hematology/oncology and phlebotomy experience are preferred; shifts vary, 7-5:30 on weekdays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, MT, MLS or equivalent registry eligible.
• MT (ASCP) or MLS(ASCP) or equivalent required within one year of hire.
• Looking for techs with hematology/oncology experience as well as phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Follows testing procedures and quality assurance guidelines.
• Prepares reagents and maintains inventory to reduce waste/expense.
• Communicates issues with leadership and coordinates with specialty departments for service or equipment setup.
