Job summary

Boston Medical Center seeks a Medical Technologist to perform moderate and high complexity laboratory tests in the Hematology Lab. You will interpret results, review procedures, and ensure compliance with CLIA and departmental SOPs, while maintaining accurate documentation and quality control.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Medical Technology, 1–2 years of clinical lab experience, and proficiency with LIS systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science incl. internship.
• ASCP/NCA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years in clinical laboratory.
• Ability to perform high complexity testing per CLIA.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate and high complexity tests and interpret results.
• Review tests performed by others to ensure compliance with SOPs.
• Maintain accurate, legible records and documentation in LIS.
• Notify and escalate critical results per policy.
• Ensure sample identification and proper labeling; participate in QA/QI activities.
