Job description

Medical Technologist - Full Time - 3rd Shift

Join to apply for the Medical Technologist - Full Time - 3rd Shift role at Monadnock Community Hospital.

This is a full-time position, 3 - 12 hour shifts, 7p-7a. Flexible team player required. Weekend fill-in may be required. Holiday rotation required.

Responsibilities
  • Follows established procedures 95% of the time. Accurately performs blood bank procedures 100% of the time.
  • Performs all quality control and instrument check procedures and maintains related records. Performs quality control testing according to established protocols 95% of the time.
  • Performs and records preventive maintenance procedures 95% of the time.
  • Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-services, and workshops; applies to laboratory. Attends at least one outside seminar per year or equivalent. Suggests at least one workable idea for improving productivity or procedure to improve quality.
  • Demonstrates good judgement. Initiates resolution of instrument/QC problems without manager 95% of the time. Able to resolve personnel problems without manager’s assistance 95% of the time.
  • Adheres to safety practices, reports accidents/hazards and maintains equipment as outlined in hospital policies.
