Saint Francis Hospital & Medical Center in Hartford, CT, is seeking an Automated Lab Technologist to join our team. You will perform and report a wide range of analyses that impact patient care in a high-energy environment.

In this 40-hour day shift role, MT/MLT with AS/BS and certification is required; new grads welcome. We offer comprehensive benefits starting day one and competitive shift differentials.

Qualificações

• BS in Medical Technology or AS in Medical Lab Technology.
• MT-ASCP or MLT-ASCP, or eligible to take Certification exam within the first year of employment.

Responsabilidades

• Determines normal and abnormal components of body fluids by conducting chemical analyses of blood, urine, spinal fluids, and gastric juices.
• Analyzes blood cells by counting and identifying cells, using microscopic techniques and procedures.
• Ensures operation of analyzers and all laboratory equipment by calibrating, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and evaluating new equipment.

Join a team where your expertise drives diagnosis, innovation, and teaching. As a key member of our clinical laboratory, you will perform and report a wide range of routine and highly complex analyses across multiple lab sections—directly impacting patient diagnosis, treatment decisions, and clinical outcomes.

What you will do:

• Determines normal and abnormal components of body fluids by conducting chemical analyses of blood, urine, spinal fluids, and gastric juices.


• Analyzes blood cells by counting and identifying cells, using microscopic techniques and procedures


• Ensures operation of analyzers and all laboratory equipment by calibrating; completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.

Position Hours:

• 40 hours, Day Shift, rotating wknds/holidays

Minimum Requirements:

• BS in Medical Technology or AS in Medical Lab Technology


• MT-ASCP or MLT-ASCP. Or must be eligible to take Certification exam and achieve certification within the first year of employment.
