Great River Health Systems is excited to offer the Right Choice Internal Resource Pool (IRP), a flexible staffing program across our hospital locations in Iowa. MTs perform tests and procedures in assigned sections with minimal supervision, following established guidelines and using independent judgment and critical thinking.

For those living within 50 miles of 1221 S. Gear Ave, West Burlington, IA 52655, commitment pays $37 per hour with 24 hours minimum every 6 weeks and quarterly hard-to-fill

Qualifications

• REQUIRED Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in chemical, physical, or biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution
• 2 years experience as an MT

Job Description: A Brief Overview

Performs tests and procedures in assigned sections, including those which require exercise of independent judgment and responsibility with minimum supervision.

Independently performs qualitative and quantitative tests, following established guidelines and predetermined criteria.

Identifies problems that may adversely affect test performance and/or results and uses knowledge, critical thinking skills, and judgment to troubleshoot and resolve them.

May perform phlebotomy and help in specimen receiving, as assigned.

For those MTs who live within 50 miles from 1221 S. Gear Ave, West Burlington, IA 52655 Commitment 1: $37 / hour Float to all 3 Great River Health hospital locations Minimum of 24 hours in a 6-week scheduling period We ask that you select one Summer and one Winter hard to fill shift as part of your commitment. You can select the hard to fill day and shift time that suits your availability, and you can adjust this as you see fit annually.

For those MTs who live more than 50 miles from 1221 S. Gear Ave, West Burlington, IA 52655 Commitment 2: $56 / hour Take assignments to any of the 3 Great River Health hospital locations One assignment every 4 months (LTA must be a minimum of 6 weeks)

Eligible shift differentials

• Evening differential: $1.40/hour (14:30 - 22:59)
• Night differential: $1.60/hour (22:30 - 08:30)
• Weekend differential (Friday @ 23:00 - Sunday @ 23:00): - $1/hour
• Holiday Differential: 1.5x base rate of pay

Qualifications

2 years experience as an MT
