MTs perform tests and procedures in assigned sections with minimal supervision, following established guidelines and using independent judgment and critical thinking.

For those living within 50 miles of 1221 S. Gear Ave, West Burlington, IA 52655, commitment pays $37 per hour with 24 hours minimum every 6 weeks and quarterly hard-to-fill

Qualifications

• REQUIRED Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in chemical, physical, or biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution
• 2 years experience as an MT

Responsibilities

• Performs tests and procedures in assigned sections with minimum supervision
• Independently performs qualitative and quantitative tests following established guidelines
• Identifies problems that may affect test performance and uses judgment to troubleshoot
• May perform phlebotomy and assist with specimen receiving as assigned
