Job summary

Mat-Su Regional Medical Center is seeking a Medical Technologist Lead to coordinate and oversee quality laboratory operations in an assigned section. You will supervise testing, quality control, training, and staff competency, while ensuring regulatory compliance and proper equipment maintenance.

You will also act as a technical resource, supporting accreditation readiness and LIS/EMR data management, with opportunities to mentor staff and improve workflow efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field required.
• 2–4 years of experience as a Medical Technologist in a clinical lab required.
• 0–2 years leadership/training/quality management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs and reports moderate/high-complexity tests with accuracy per CLIA, CAP, and other standards.
• Oversees daily lab operations including workflow, inventory, and staffing.
• Monitors QC and proficiency testing; resolves discrepancies within required timelines.
• Conducts competency assessments and provides training and mentorship to staff.
• Ensures equipment maintenance and adherence to safety and LIS/EMR policies.
• Acts as liaison among lab admin, supervisors, and staff; communicates issues and regulatory updates.
• Supports accreditation readiness, audits, and documentation for inspections.
