Job summary

Mat-Su Regional Medical Center seeks a Director of Laboratory in Palmer, AK to oversee a broad spectrum of administrative, fiscal, and technical activities ensuring efficient clinical lab operation. You will manage the quality control program, QA, and point-of-care testing, coordinating with hospital leadership to meet regulatory standards.

Leading a diverse team, you will drive staffing, performance evaluations, payroll, and compliance with CAP, AABB, Joint Commission, and CLIA requirements,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology or Physical Science (meets High Complexity under CLIA) required.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in closely related field with Bachelor's degree required.
• 3-5 years of previous leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees administrative, fiscal, and technical activities to ensure efficient laboratory operation.
• Leads quality control, quality assurance, and point-of-care testing programs.
• Directs staffing, hiring, discipline, staff development, and payroll responsibilities.
