Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical/Surgical unit in Olympia Fields, IL. The role delivers safe patient care using the nursing process, while guiding patient/family teaching and collaborating with physicians on changes in condition.

Qualifications include an active RN license, BLS, ACLS (preferred), and BSN (preferred). Prior acute care and ventilator management experience are valued. Sign-On bonus available and full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process across assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Medical/Surgical Unit.
• Communicate with physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition, including monitoring and test results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
