Job summary

Holy Family Medical Center in Des Plaines, IL, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for full-time night shifts in the Acute Medical – Surgical department. The role requires current state RN licensure, BLS, ACLS (30 days upon hire, preferred), and preferred BSN; ventilator management experience is also preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in the Medical/Surgical Unit.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition and test results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
