Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program with ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• At least 1 year of RN experience; specialty units may require more.
• Current Texas nursing license and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive physical, psychosocial, and emotional patient assessments, considering age-specific criteria.
• Develop and implement an appropriate plan of care with interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Identify and initiate nursing interventions, document actions timely, and coordinate with health care team.
• Prioritize interventions, monitor condition changes, and communicate updates to patient and family.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies and evidence-based nursing practice; contribute to performance improvement.
