Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program with an ADN

• RN licensure required and active in Texas

Responsibilities

• Delivers nursing interventions to assigned patients following medical plan of care
• Schedules appointments, tests, and procedures and reinforces physician instructions
• Provides patient education and documents responses in the medical record
• Obtains patient consents for research and/or medical treatment
• Triages patient inquiries according to protocols and documents actions in records
• Supervises licensed vocational nurses and other staff as needed
• Proficient in electronic medical record documentation
• Assists physicians during exams and procedures
• Maintains stock and ensures patient safety and equipment functioning
• Attends meetings related to clinical activities
