Job summary

The role includes supervising and directing nursing staff at various levels and coordinating care with other disciplines. Responsibilities include collecting data, developing and implementing care plans, evaluating progress, participating in discharge planning, delegating tasks, and providing health information to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved nursing program (Certificate, ADN, or BSN).
• Active RN license in the state of practice (unrestricted).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiopulmonary Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
• NIHSS Stroke Certificate may be required or beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Collects relevant data and analyzes assessment data to determine care issues.
• Develops and implements a plan of care to achieve outcomes and prescribes interventions.
• Coordinates care delivery and collaborates with the healthcare team for safe, effective treatment.
• Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members.
