Job summary

Carle Health seeks an experienced RN for our 30-bed Inpatient Surgical unit in Illinois. The team cares for pre- and post-surgical patients 18 and older with a 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratio, delivering high-quality, compassionate care.

The unit features a fast-paced, team-oriented culture with physician partners and a dedicated educator and charge nurses. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates with at least 1 year of RN experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Illinois (IDFPR).
• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).
• Nursing degree: College Diploma in Nursing.
• RN with more than 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs unit duties and maintain documentation per unit standards.
• Develops and updates care plans based on patient needs and assessments.
• Ensures patient safety, responds to call bells and triages requests.
• Communicates effectively with healthcare team to coordinate care and discharge planning.
