Job summary

Creative Solutions Services, LLC is seeking a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse for a 13-week onsite contract in High Point, NC. Day shift, 12 hours per day, three days per week, with a trauma-designated teaching hospital setting.

The unit handles hip/knee replacement, bariatric, urology, spine and GYN procedures. Requires 1 year of experience, BLS/ACLS/NIHSS, and EPIC EMR proficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of RN surgical experience.
• BLS, ACLS and NIHSS required for Resource Team involvement.
• Active RN license in North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Care for postoperative surgical patients (hip/knee, bariatric, urology, spine, GYN).
• Monitor telemetry and respond to rapid changes as needed.
• Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurse and hospital teams for patient care and documentation.

Job Description

Shift Information: 7a-7:30p

On Call, Call Back Requirements: None

Weekend Rotation: every other (currently operates Mon-Fri; occasional Saturday need)

Holiday Requirements: Travelers will work 75% of holidays

Floating Requirements: Minimal floating required, however could float to medical surgical unit, if needed

• 351 Licensed Beds
• Trauma Designated in process
• Teaching Hospital
• Chest Pain Center
• Stroke Center

Unit Information:

• 24 beds with avg length of stay of 1.2

Minimum Years of Experience required: 1 year

• Will you accept a first-time traveler: Yes

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

• Total Hip and Total Knee replacement
• Bariatric surgery
• Urology surgical patients
• Spine Surgery
• GYN Procedures

Patient Ratios:

• RN: 1:6
• CNA: 1:9

Required Licensure & Certifications:

• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS – Resource Team requirement
