Job summary

TalentBurst is seeking a Travel Registered Nurse (Med/Surg) for a 13-week onsite contract in Englewood, CO. Shift is Day, 12 hours, 3 days/week with Med/Surg and Rehab assignments and a patient ratio around 5:1. Unit features Meditech EMR and a Rehab unit setting.

Minimum 1 year Med/Surg or Rehab RN experience plus BLS required; travel RN preferred for favorable consideration. Competitive stipends included.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year current Med/Surg or Rehabilitation RN experience.
• BLS certification required.
• Travel RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Med pass and routine patient care (PO/IV medications).
• Safe ambulation and toileting assistance.
• Wound care and dressing changes (including wound VAC).
• Neuro checks, stroke rehabilitation care, telemetry monitoring.

Type of equipment - iMobile on iPhones, gait belts, bed alarms, IV pumps, Wound vacs, Hoyer lifts (occasional), Welch-Allyn vitals machines
EMR - Meditech
Typical hiring profile
Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
Minimum 1-year current Med/Surg or Rehabilitation RN experience
BLS
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
Experience in rehab nursing or orthopedic
Experience in Neuro or trauma nursing
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
Med pass (mostly PO, some IV medications), safe ambulation and toileting, high-quality charting, central line dressing changes.
Catheter care and peri-care, wound care and wet to dry dressing changes, wound vac management, blood administration, pain and Comfort management.
Neuro checks and stroke-rehabilitation cares, vital signs, blood sugar checks, and telemetry.
