Job summary

Kaleida Health's Buffalo General Medical Center seeks a Registered Nurse to join the BGMC Nursing team. The role, at 0.96 FTE, is onsite and full-time, with a 7:00 PM–7:30 AM shift.

The incumbent will deliver comprehensive nursing care in accordance with NYS requirements and Kaleida policies. Responsibilities include patient assessment, development and execution of care plans, health teaching, and collaboration with physicians and allied staff.

Qualifications

• Current NYS registration as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) or permit required upon hire and maintained thereafter.
• American Heart Association-Basic Life Support (BLS) within 6 months of hire and maintained thereafter.
• Adheres to Kaleida policies and standards of practice.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat human responses to actual and potential health problems through services such as case finding, health teaching, health counseling and provision of care in support or restoration of life and well-being.
• Execute medical regimens prescribed by a licensed physician or other licensed health care provider.
• Provide health education and counseling to patients and families; perform nursing interventions as prescribed.
