Job summary

Kaleida Health’s Millard Fillmore Suburban campus in Williamsville seeks a part-time Surgical Services Nurse to join the PACU team. You will assess and treat patients, execute physician-prescribed regimens, and uphold Kaleida policies in a fast-paced recovery setting.

Required NYS RN license, BLS within 6 months, ACLS/PALS within 12 months, and prior critical care/telemetry experience preferred. Onsite position with bi-weekly schedule and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Current NYS registration as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) and license.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• ACLS and PALS within 12 months of hire (per policy).

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients in the PACU and Surgical Services.
• Execute medical regimens prescribed by a physician.
• Adhere to Kaleida Health policies and standards of practice.

Job Description

Assesses and treats human responses to actual and potential health problems through such services as case finding, health teaching, health counseling and provision of care supportive or restorative of life and well-being. Executes medical regimens prescribed by a licensed physician, dentist or other licensed health care provider legally authorized under the NYS Education Department and in accordance with NYS Department of Health regulations. Adheres to current Kaleida policies and standards of practice.

Education And Credentials

Current NYS registration as a Registered Professional Nurse/RN Permit required upon hire and must be maintained thereafter. American Heart Association-Basic Life Support (BLS) within 6 months of Hire and must be maintained thereafter. RN Surgical Services

PACU

American Heart Association ACLS (All Sites) & American Academy of Pediatric or American Heart Association PALS for < 10 years of age or 38kg as applicable within 12 months from hire/transfer. ExperienceRN Surgical Services - One (1) year critical care/telemetry (within 3 years) experience preferred for PACU, Ambulatory Surgery Unit and Surgical Care Unit.
