Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Medical Surgical CNA to support patient care at PMC WestGlen GI in Shawnee, KS. The role involves assisting patients with daily living activities, mobility, feeding, and monitoring vital signs under an RN.

Responsibilities include maintaining supplies, wound care assistance, keeping rooms clean and safe, and transporting patients as needed. Candidates must hold a CNA credential and BLS certification; entry-level CNAs are welcome.

Qualifications

• Must be able to type.
• Familiar with and willing to learn medical terminology.
• Prefer prior experience in a medical setting.
• Must protect patient confidentiality.
• Must hold a current Certified Nursing Assistant credential.
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required upon hire and maintained current.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, and toileting.
• Help with mobility, including turning, repositioning, and transferring patients to prevent skin breakdown; may also feed patients needing assistance and monitor intake/output.
• Take and record vital signs; observe and report changes in a patient’s condition; may assist with wound care under RN supervision.
• Stock and maintain supplies in patient rooms; ensure the environment stays clean and safe.
• Assist in transporting patients within the hospital.
