Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Deptford, NJ, is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review test results, and notify donors of unsuitable findings. You’ll work under the Center Manager and Center Physician, supporting safety and compliance in a fast-paced plasma center.

The role requires licensure (EMT-B/A/I/P, LPN/LVN, or RN), CPR/AED, and at least two years in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Must have EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P licensure in the responsible state
• Current CPR and AED certification required
• Clinical or hospital experience preferred (2 years)
• Nursing program graduation and state requirements fulfilled

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs
• Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable results
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees
• Assist Center Physician and Medical Affairs on medical or technical issues as needed
• Coordinate with EHS on environmental health and safety incidents
