The VA Hudson Valley Healthcare system is recruiting one Medical Support Assistant for the Health Administration service. This intermittent position will travel between the Montrose VAMC and Castle Point VAMC as needed.

The role involves support work relating to patient care in inpatient units, outpatient clinics, patient scheduling call centers, CitC, and ancillary support services, including basic data entry, medical records, and terminology.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of computerized data entry and information processing systems related to patient care.
• Knowledge of medical records and medical terminology.
• Understanding of rules and regulations governing visitors and patient treatment.
