Qualifications

• Experience in a VA Medical Center or federal healthcare environment.
• Familiarity with VA systems such as VistA and CPRS.
• Experience supporting high-volume clinical operations or multi-specialty teams.
• Knowledge of veteran benefits, eligibility processes, or community care coordination.
• Ability to manage competing priorities with accuracy in a busy patient-facing setting.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and follow-up visits using VA EHR systems.
• Greet and check in veteran patients, verifying demographic and insurance information with accuracy.
• Manage clinic workload and appointment templates to optimize provider schedules and minimize wait times.
• Process incoming correspondence, manage medical records requests, and maintain accurate patient data in administrative systems.
• Communicate with veterans, families, and clinical staff to resolve scheduling conflicts and relay care instructions.
• Support care team coordination by routing referrals, tracking consults, and following up on pending orders.
• Adhere to VA privacy and security policies governing the handling of sensitive veteran health information.
