Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Medical Staff Director to supervise the Medical Staff Services Office and coordinate credentialing, bylaws, and policy development. The role includes budgeting, information systems planning, and cross-department coordination.

The Director will ensure compliance with JCAH, CMS, and state/federal requirements, manage minutes, and oversee credentialing verification procedures while supporting annual orientation programs for

Qualifications

• CPMSM or CPCS certification preferred or actively pursuing certification.
• Associate Degree in Medical Staff Services Science, business or related field; or equivalent training/experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of comprehensive experience as a Medical Staff Services professional.
• Working knowledge of Medical Staff credentialing, basic organizational structure, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation of documentation of medical staff activities following legal guidelines and accreditation requirements.
• Maintain minutes for accreditation surveys (JCAHO, CMS) and licensing surveys.
• Ensure credentialing verification procedures are completed timely per bylaws and office policies.
• Support yearly orientation programs for medical staff officers and department chairs.
