Job summary

MultiCare Health System invites applications for a Medical Staff Coordinator at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, WA. The role focuses on coordinating medical staff functions, preparing for committee meetings, taking minutes, and distributing correspondence.

It also coordinates credentialing and re-credentialing activities, including appointments, reappointments, monitoring FPPE/OPPE, and privileging for physicians and allied health staff under the Director of Medical Staff Services.

Qualifications

• College coursework or vocational training preferred.
• CPCS certification by the National Association of Medical Staff Services, or in the process leading to certification within 18 months from the date of hire.
• Minimum three years of credentialing experience in acute care setting or directly related experience.
• Credentialing database experience preferred.
• Echo credentialing database preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and prepare medical staff functions; prepare for committee meetings, take minutes, and distribute appropriate correspondence.
• Coordinate, monitor and maintain the credentialing and re-credentialing process; facilitate appointment, reappointment, FPPE/OPPE and privileging.
• Support medical staff activities and special projects for physicians, health system hospitals, and medical groups under supervision of the Director of Medical Staff Services.
