Job summary

Central Maine Healthcare Corporation is seeking a Medical Staff Coordinator in Lewiston, ME. The role supports the Medical Staff Office, manages credentialing tasks, applications, reappointments, proctoring and competencies, and collaborates with physicians and hospital leadership.

The ideal candidate will have an associates degree or equivalent, 3+ years in medical staff services or acute care, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred or equivalent education/experience.
• Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years technical/administrative experience in Medical Staff Services Department and/or acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Navigate multiple projects while supporting a busy Medical Staff Office.
• Facilitate all aspects of credentialing, including applications, reappointments, proctoring and competencies.
• Interface with physicians and hospital management staff in a positive and professional manner.
