Job summary

Central Maine Healthcare Corporation is seeking a Medical Staff Coordinator for the Medical Staff Office in Lewiston, Maine. This full-time, day-shift role supports credentialing processes across departments, handling applications, reappointments, proctoring, and competencies.

Ideal candidates have an associates degree (or equivalent), CPCS preferred, at least 3 years in medical staff services or acute care, and strong computer, writing, and Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred or equivalent education/experience.
• Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years technical/administrative experience in Medical Staff Services or acute care hospital setting.
• Strong computer, communication, and writing skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical staff services is preferred.

Pay: $24.00 to $27.86.

Ability to function in a demanding environment by navigating multiple projects simultaneously, and effectively supporting a busy Medical Staff Office. Responsible for assigned Medical Staff Departments as assigned by Director/Manager. Facilitates all aspects of credentialing, including applications, reappointments, proctoring and competencies. Interfaces with physicians and hospital management staff in a positive and professional manner

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Associates degree preferred or equivalent education/experience.

2. Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred

3. Minimum of 3 years technical/administrative experience, Medical Staff Services Department and/or acute care hospital experience preferred.

4. Must have strong computer, communication, and writing skills.

5. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

6. Must exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

7. Knowledge of medical terminology and medical staff services and/or acute care hospital experience, preferred.

Pay Transparency

Central Maine Healthcare Corporation offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $24.00 to $27.86. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
