Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Interview the patient or representative to obtain demographics.
• Secure insurance information, eligibility, benefits and authorizations as applicable.
• Work closely with the Admitting department including PBX operator function and reception areas.
• Operate a computer to input and retrieve data.
• Communicate with the population served using age-specific techniques.
• Maintain proficiency in medical terminology.
• Complete special projects or other assignments within a specified timeframe.
