Job summary

ScribeAmerica is hiring on-site medical scribes to document patient visits alongside doctors. You will record histories, exams, and treatments while using EHR systems. Training is provided through Scribe University with real clinical exposure and shadowing.

Open positions include both full-time and part-time shifts. Candidates should be at least 18, with a high school diploma, and must be able to work in the U.S. A range of benefits and career growth opportunities are described in the posting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
• Proof of vaccinations (may be required).
• Typing speed of 40+ WPM.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Flexible schedule availability.
• Ability to stand, sit, and use a computer for several hours a day.
• Access to a laptop (you’ll be provided one after training but need your own for training).

Responsibilities

• Work with doctors during patient visits to document everything.
• Record patient history, exams, and treatments.
• Use electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Review and track lab and test results.
• Follow HIPAA and other rules to keep records secure.
• Keep patient charts up to date and accurate.
• Send and organize documents for doctor review.
• Support the healthcare team with lab tracking and follow‑ups.
• Help keep the clinic running smoothly.
