Job summary

Midwest Pain Clinics is seeking a Medical Scribe in Omaha, Nebraska to support physicians by documenting encounters in real time and maintaining accurate electronic health records. The position offers both part-time and full-time options with a consistent Monday–Thursday schedule.

Responsibilities include documenting histories, orders, diagnoses, and treatment plans, transcribing orders, and scheduling follow-ups while upholding patient confidentiality in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to accurately document patient care and transcribe encounters.
• Understanding of patient confidentiality and privacy requirements.
• Experience with Microsoft Office or related software.

Responsibilities

• Accompany physicians during patient visits and accurately document medical histories, physical findings, and provider interactions.
• Record diagnoses, symptoms, treatment plans, prescriptions, procedures, and follow-up instructions as directed by the physician.
• Transcribe physician orders, including laboratory tests, imaging studies, and medications.
• Prepare and maintain accurate, complete electronic health records.
• Schedule and reschedule appointments for new and existing patients.
• Help optimize schedules by offering earlier appointments when cancellations or openings become available.
• Schedule follow-up appointments at check-out and document when follow-up scheduling cannot be completed.
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality and accuracy in all documentation.
• Support efficient clinical operations and perform other related duties as assigned.
