Job summary

Montage Health is seeking a Medical Scribe to accurately transcribe patient encounters into the EMR under the supervision of the Lead Medical Scribe. You will accompany physicians during exams to document history, exams, diagnoses, procedures, and orders (labs, radiology, medications), ensuring prompt and correct entry while protecting patient confidentiality.

Strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum typing speed of 60 words per minute.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
• Strong understanding of filing systems, office machines, and equipment.
• Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 codes; understanding of medical insurance process.
• Well-organized, detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to interpret safety rules and manuals; maintain grammar and spelling.
• Mathematical skills including basic arithmetic and cash reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe medical notes from patient encounters into the EMR for physician review.
• Accompany physicians during examinations to document history, physical exams, diagnoses, symptoms, and procedures.
• Transcribe patient orders (labs, radiology, medications) accurately and promptly.
• Maintain clear communication with physicians, patients, and staff while safeguarding confidentiality.
• Perform duties as assigned by management and support a team-oriented environment.
