Job summary

AOA Orthopedic Specialists is seeking a part-time Medical Scribe to support providers in a busy orthopedics clinic. You will assist with dictations and improve patient visit efficiency by entering data into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and reviewing patient information.

A one-year commitment is preferred. Experience with medical terminology and accurate typing (45+ wpm) is required, along with proficient use of Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with medical and anatomy terminology required.
• Ability to communicate professionally with patients and physicians/physician assistants.
• Typing speed of 45+ wpm required.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assist provider with dictations and documentation in the EHR.
• Enter information into the EHR as directed by the provider.
• Research information as requested by the provider; respond to messages.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance in all patient interactions.
