Job summary

Methodist Medical Group is seeking a part-time Scribe to assist the provider with dictations during patient visits and to streamline clinic flow. You will help navigate the EHR, enter data as directed, and ensure accurate documentation.

The role emphasizes patient service, effective communication with staff, and adherence to HIPAA procedures. You should have a High School Diploma or GED, 3–6 months of related experience, and typing ability of 45 WPM with basic Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent certification.
• 3 to 6 months related experience preferred.
• Certificate from a medical assistant program preferred.
• Ability to type 45 WPM and basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook/Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist the provider with dictations to improve visit quality and clinic flow.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and relay information to staff.
• Assist in navigating the Electronic Health Record system and entering data as directed.
• Enter information into the EHR and respond to messages as requested.
• Support physicians/PA with documenting patient care and coding in the EMR.
• Participate in office meetings and maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Keep work area neat and perform other duties as assigned.
