EMMITSBURG OSTEOPATHIC PRIMARY CARE CENTER in Emmitsburg, MD is seeking a Medical Scribe to join our team. You will gather and document information about clients for doctors’ visits and operate the electronic health records system.

You will print lab reports, complete treatment summaries, and chart appointments while collaborating with clinicians to ensure accurate medical records and professional communication with patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Experience as Medical Scribe or in a similar position.
• Ability to take detailed notes and accurate documentation.
• Strong computer and transcription skills.
• Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality requirements.
• Highly organized with excellent time-management skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Documenting patients’ visits by taking notes and entering them in the electronic health records system
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent and comprehensive patient documentation
• Coordinate with doctors to complete and submit medical records
• Communicate professionally with patients, doctors, and healthcare staff
