Job summary

ScribeAmerica in Baltimore, MD is hiring on-site medical scribes to document patient visits in real time alongside physicians. You’ll record medical history, exams, test results, and prescriptions, enabling doctors to focus on patient care.

Training is provided through Scribe University with hands-on clinical instruction. We offer full-time and part-time schedules, HIPAA compliance, and opportunities to grow within a nationwide network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 18 years or older and authorized to work in the U.S.
• Vaccinations may be required.
• Typing speed of 40+ WPM.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Flexible schedule availability.
• Ability to stand, sit and use a computer for several hours.

Responsibilities

• Work with doctors during patient visits to document everything.
• Record patient history, exams and treatments.
• Use electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Review and track lab and test results.
• Follow HIPAA and keep records secure.
• Keep patient charts up to date and accurate.
• Send and organize documents for doctor review.
• Support the healthcare team with lab tracking and follow-ups.
