Medical Scribe (Healthcare)

Come and join our team! We are a growing private medical practice specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of retinal and vitreous diseases. We are seeking individuals interested in establishing a career in healthcare, working alongside nationally recognized physicians. We offer on-the-job training to help you grow and develop your skills, along with gaining innovative knowledge.

Established in 1977, we have multiple locations across Northern California, including Sacramento, Grass Valley, Roseville, Stockton, Modesto, Merced, Fairfield, Elk Grove, Folsom, Yuba City, and Chico. Our physicians are nationally renowned, and we remain at the forefront of retina care by utilizing the latest equipment and participating in and designing new clinical trials to advance retinal disease treatment.

Join over 250 team members in our fast-paced, high-volume retina specialty practice. We are looking for a full-time Scribe to support our team. While independence is important, you will work directly with physicians, patients, and clinical and administrative staff. Collaboration and teamwork are essential. This position may require travel to other locations as needed, Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays.

Responsibilities:

1. Act as a physician extender
2. Answer patient questions
3. Ensure documentation is signed and complete
4. Spot audit visits, knowing the required documents for billing and ensuring their completeness
5. Handle prescription refills
6. Maintain weekly replacement of Cidex and keep the calendar updated
7. Complete necessary forms for physicians, such as lab requisitions, radiology requests, and surgery paperwork
8. Ensure HPI is completed accurately
9. Demonstrate proper application of ocular dressings and shields
