Pacific Skin Institute is seeking a motivated candidate with a team-oriented attitude! Candidates should have a passion for medicine and healthcare, with a desire to help people access services and ensure patient comfort during visits. We welcome individuals interested in future careers in medicine, including Health Care Administration, Nursing, PA or NP degrees, Medical School, etc.

This role involves accompanying providers into patient exam rooms to transcribe histories and physical exams, and to document encounters accurately, including diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, prescriptions, patient orders, and procedures.

1. Assist providers during consultations and examinations.
2. Utilize electronic medical records and task lists to complete callbacks, lab results, patient requests, referrals, and scheduling.
3. Support back-office duties when not directly assisting with patient care.
4. Provide patients with accurate information and address questions and concerns.
5. Demonstrate exceptional documentation, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
6. Maintain excellent data entry skills.
7. Pay strong attention to detail.
8. Exhibit a phenomenal bedside manner.
9. Ensure cleanliness of clinic areas and exam rooms before and after patient use.
10. Touch-type at a speed of 60+ words per minute.
11. Willingness to travel to PSI locations in Sacramento, Folsom, Elk Grove, or Vacaville as needed.
